Assessment examination & Criteria for Promotion

(Pre–Nursery to III)

 MIS represents a paradigm shift from traditional models of evaluation and assessment adopted by most schools in the country.

It is an attempt to provide have been made to convert the marks into grades, which should be seen as part of a larger whole, as marks are not reliable indicators of child’s performance because of various defects in the scoring procedures. Grading system on the other hand helps in eliminating

mis classification of students in to different categories.

  • Nursery – KG-2

At this level the children are assessed on the basis of constant evaluation. The academic year is divided into 3 terms. Assessment reports will be based on work sheets, class activities/assignments on day–to–day basis.

  • Class I to III

To provide a system of Constant Evaluation, Child Friendly and stress – free mechanism Class I to III have the following assessment policy. Students will be assessed on the basis of continuous academic performance in monthly assignments , oral and written tests.

  1. The academic year is divided into 3 terms. Assessments will be held in English, Hindi, Maths EVS / Science and S.St., and Computers , GK, etc.
  1. Evaluation is also done on oratory skills and grades are given in

English – reading & recitation, Hindi reading & recitation and

Mental – Maths.

  1. Marks are converted into grades.
  1. Assignment file, notebooks are shown to parents on PTM.

The annual result will be declared on the basis of cumulative assessment in the following manner.

 Grading for Nursery to K.G.

Class IV to VIII

Classes IV to VIII will have continuous & comprehensive evaluation which comprises of formative assessments FA-1, FA-2, FA-3, FA-4 and Summative Assessments SA 1& SA 2 during the scholastic year besides the class tests. Result will be based on total marks converted into grades obtained in all Formative & Summative Assessments upscaling in the cards/subjects as per the CBSE as per the CBSE rules.
